Brussels sprouts - a Tasty Thursday post

Honey, I shrunk the cabbages!

Okay, I'm kidding. But Brussels sprouts are like mini-cabbages, all wrinkled and cute. They have some of the same health benefits too, from tons of vitamins K, C, and B6 to lots of dietary fiber.

And honestly, this super easy way to prepare them is so delicious, you'll jump at the chance to eat them any time you can.

Like many vegetables, Brussels sprouts benefit from a wash, a toss with olive oil and seasoning, and a run in a hot oven. Caramelize the natural sugars and you'll be addicted.

YUM!

  • Brussels sprouts (allow 1/3 lb per person as a side dish)
  • olive oil  (I do 2 TBS per lb)
  • salt and pepper to taste, or other seasoning!

Oven to 400. Toss vegetables with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoning. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until browned and perfect.

Yes, it's that easy. You are welcome.
