Interior Progress Update, November Issue

FINALLY we got to spend time working on the boat. It feels like it’s been ages.

I guess it has. From mid-June until the end of September, we were in Vermont working on the house there. October was Annapolis Boat Show time for me, while Jeremy installed new wood floors in the dining room. In early November, after a trip to Vermont to help my parents move to a retirement community in Middlebury (and a side trip to New York City to see our friend David Josefsberg in Beetlejuice!), we relocated to Deltaville.

We’ve ripped out the port side.

Dry fit the bunk boards.

Winterized the engine and removed the electrical system.

Coated the mahogany board with penetrating epoxy (sorry no photos!)

Next up: Finalizing the bunk project, fixing up the torn-up bulkheads, and maybe even starting to install new ones. Plus galley counters, which means a trip to Williamsburg to pick them up from friends who renovated their kitchen there - and saved us the old Corian counters!. And installing the compass.

That seems ambitious for 2 weeks. Keep an eye on this space for progress.
